Author Guidelines

Relevant Issues

Articles that have been published previously or currently being reviewed by another journal will be rejected from submission.

Electronic Submission Process

All manuscripts and/or supplementary data must be submitted electronically through the Sriwijaya Abdimas Journal of Community Engagement And Innovation online web-based submission and peer review system. (www.sajcei.mipa.unsri.ac.id)  The authors are permitted to track the progress of their submissions after signing up the account. The Sriwijaya Abdimas Journal of Community Engagement And Innovation does not accept submissions or revisions by mail, fax or as e-mail attachments.

File types

All  manuscript text and table source files are should be available in .doc, .docx and .rtf. Figures should be provided in .tiff, .png or .jpeg format.

Manuscript format

Manuscripts should be prepared as word documents in Calisto MT (font size should be 11) on A4 size with a margin of 3 cm of all four sides. For each pages, line number is required to be provided. The manuscript should be typed double-spaced including references and tables also. All figures and tables should be separated from the text and it is mandatory to provide captions for each figure and table.

The manuscript should be in the following order:

Title page: It should have title in sentence case style. Name(s) of author(s) and their affiliations i.e. postal address, phone no., and corresponding author’s email address(es) must be supplied.

Abstract: It should have a brief idea of the whole article and not exceed 200 words. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references and must be written both in English and Bahasa (abstrak).

Keywords: It should contain up to 5 key terms related to the research work and should be separated with comma (,) .

Introduction (Pendahuluan): It represent the scope, objective and novelty of the research work.

Methods (Metode): It comprises information about the materials, instruments, and the methods to carry out the research work like animals, chemicals and animal ethical committee permission, software used and procedures followed etc. Chemical compounds should be named according to IUPAC or Chemical Abstracts. The units and dimensions should be expressed according to the metric system and SI units. Data analysis techniques must be stated in this section.

Results and Discussion (Hasil dan Pembahasan): It should contain explanation how research work performed and result interpretations in sufficient detail descriptions.

Conclusion (Kesimpulan): It should concisely describe the main contribution/outcome of the results to the advancement of the field; it should not simply summarize each and every point of the study. The Conclusion should also briefly denote potential impact of the results.

Acknowledgements (Ucapan terima kasih): It should contain the information regarding any research grant support or the assistance of colleagues.

References (Pustaka): The references should be represented as large brackets e.g[3] in the text. The references pattern should follow ACS (American Chemical Society) in the following website: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/pdf/10.1021/bk-2006-STYG.ch014

Tables and Figures (Tabel dan Gambar)

For tables:

  1. All tables are identified with Arabic numerals.
  2. Tables should always be cited in text in consecutive numerical order.
  3. For each table, please supply a table caption (title) explaining the components of the table and citations.
  4. Footnotes to tables should be indicated by superscript lowercase letters (or asterisks for significance values and other statistical data) and included beneath the table body.

Figure Legends

  1. Each figure should have a concise caption describing accurately what the figure depicts. Include the captions in the text file of the manuscript, as well as in the figure file.
  2. Figure captions begin with the term Fig. in bold type, followed by the figure number in Arabic numerals, also in bold type. Citations should be supply after the captions.
  3. No punctuation is to be included after the number, nor is any punctuation to be placed at the end of the caption.
  4. Identify all elements found in the figure in the figure caption; and use boxes, circles, etc., as coordinate points in graphs.
