Abstract

Degenerative diseases are generally caused by a gradual decrease in the performance of the body's cells which then affects the function of organs in general. Examples of degenerative diseases are diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure. Indonesia has various species of parasites, but the general public is more familiar with parasites based on the host plant where they grow, such as tea parasites, duku parasites, mango parasites and others. Parasites are considered as useful plants because of their potential as medicinal plants. This community service activity provides assistance and training to the Dusun IV community of Tanjung Seteko village, namely the manufacture of herbs and healthy drinks from parasitic leaves. The activity stages include counseling about degenerative diseases, training and assistance in making herbal and healthy drinks from parasites, training on how to use herbs, and storage, evaluation of activities to determine the success of science and technology that has been given. The results of community service activities are increasing public knowledge about degenerative diseases, increasing community skills in utilizing parasitic plants for herbal medicine and healthy drinks for the prevention and treatment of degenerative diseases.
